About Alison

I'm passionate about helping students unlock their full potential. For the past 3 years, I've provided personalized tutoring in Math, English, Science, Test Preparation, Sports & Fitness, and Study Skills for elementary, middle, and high school students. I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience from University of Michigan's Honor Program and tailor my approach to each student's unique learning style through active listening and open communication. I foster a supportive environment where curiosity is encouraged, and even challenging concepts become manageable. Witnessing those "aha!" moments and celebrating student successes is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I am CPR trained and certified in First Aid. I'm happy to tutor at your home, a teacher's home, a center, online, a library, or a coffee shop. I believe every student can succeed, and I'd love to help you on your learning journey.
