About Alison

I cared for my Mom the last 2 years of her life. She had Dementia and Sundowners. Absolutely terrible diseases, that our loved ones can't comprehend or control. They are still in there, just never know what age they'll be when you talk to them. I also cared for my Dad before he passed away and his mind was sharp as a tack! His body just gave up on him. I did things I never imagined doing, for both of them, but the tables turned and it was my turn. They cared for me, changed my diaper, bathed me, fed me, gave me meds when needed so that's what I had to do for them. They watched me take my first breath and I watched them take their last breath. I Thank God everyday that neither of my parents had to ever go to a nursing home. With help from my sister we kept them at home. Honestly I would love to be a blessing to someone else if possible.
