I’m writing to highly recommend our wonderful nanny of a year and a half, Alisha. Alisha has cared for our son full time (45 hrs/week M-F) since he was 6 months old. We started to our son to nursery school full time this fall so we had to part ways with Alisha. Alisha has been a wonderful nanny to our son. She joined us at a time when our son was having a lot of behavioral issues and was unable to warm up to anyone other than immediate family. The moment we saw Alisha interact with our son, we knew she was the right fit. She approached him with a calm, loving energy and was exceedingly patient with him. It was the first time we had ever seen him feel calm, safe, and happy with someone other than us. Alisha is currently completing a degree in elementary school education (online and part time) and she brings her enthusiasm for education into her interactions with our son. She offers suggestions for our son’s development but is also deferential to our preferences. We felt like we were in partnership with Alisha, working together to make sure our son is learning and growing happy and healthy every day. Her duties included: light food prep, managing all lunches/snacks/dinners, bottle washing, diaper changes, feeding, arranging play dates, sleep training, etc. Any family would be lucky to have her!
