About Alisha

I started working with kids when I was around 12 years old as a nanny for my neighborhood families, helping my mother raise my 3 younger siblings, and babysitting my cousin who is now 11. I can help with up to 3 kids. I like to be hands on and engage in playtime. Playing pretend, arts and crafts, and exploring the outdoors. I enjoy being around children because it makes me feel whole and part of something bigger than myself. In my spare time, I like to go on backpacking adventures, work on my sculptures and photography, cook, and play with my puppy. I have spent many summers backpacking mountain ranges of the western US and Canada. I'm knowledgeable about the land, mountaineering, fishing, survival, and the natural world in general. I majored in biochemistry when I was at UCSB and graduated in 2019. I also had a teaching assistant job for 2 years through CSUMB where I taught computer science, so I can help with homework as well. Alisha is amazing. When my daughters were 4 and 6 Alisha helped me care for them while I was working long hours. We were neighbors at the time and she helped me for 3 years. She made every day so much fun for the girls, playing pretend with them, arts and crafts, and taking them to swim class. She is also a hard worker, she always made sure their rooms were clean and toys organized. She’s still part of our family and has had such a positive impact on my girls.
