About Alicia

Hello! My name is Alicia Román, and I bring over six years of experience working with young children in both classroom and home settings. I spent five years as an assistant teacher at a Montessori school, supporting children ages 2. 5 to 6. I also completed a child development course at the Post Oak School in Houston, TX, as part of my Montessori training, focused on ages 0 to 6. More recently, I worked as a homeschooling nanny for over a year, where I continued to apply Montessori principles in a one-on-one environment. My approach is grounded in mutual respect - I believe children thrive when they are treated with empathy, consistency, and clear expectations. I'm passionate about supporting children's natural curiosity and independence, and I look forward to bringing that mindset to a new caregiving role.
