Hi! My name is Alicia. I am 22 years old and originally from MI. During my junior and senior years in high school, I was enrolled into a medical science program. I was first certified in CPR and First Aid through this program. I had internships at pediatrician offices, the delivery floor at Bay Regional Medical Center and a speech therapy internship at a local elementary school. I love taking care of children! I am very organized, neat, caring, positive, and loving! The younger ones love it when you sing to them or even just talk with them. I have experience with children ages 3 months and up and have 6 years of experience! My most recent position was being a Nanny for an amazing family with three children. I was hired after they interviewed several other applicants and I am thankful for the opportunity every day. The youngest was 8 (mentally that of a 2-year-old) and was legally blind and had a mental disability that has yet to be diagnosed. I tried my best to think of activities to keep her mind going and to help her learn. I had to learn very quickly how to help her through her daily tantrums and communication struggles. Although she had certain struggles I never failed to always remember she is an 8-year-old girl! who loves to play dress up and give hugs and kisses! I learn things very quickly.
