I worked for a year with someone that had a developmental disability and we were able to develop a very good relationship with each other. I have also been learning about developmental and cognitive disabilities and delays in my classes at Columbus State Community College. I am currently enrolled in the Social and Human Services program. I have compassion, respect, and dignity to give to all people, but am also gaining knowledge to help me understand how to interact with those that need a little extra help.
