Hello! I'm a childcare professional with over 20 years of experience in teaching and arts education administration. In early 2018, I relocated to Traverse City from Chicago, where I worked as an Education Program Director at a non-profit community arts school for 16 years. There, I developed class curricula & a variety of arts-based programs, hired & trained teachers, and built relationships with parents, children, & families. Here in Traverse City, I've worked at Blackbird Arts, Loma Farm, and Goodwill Northern Michigan. I have a culinary & business background, too, and I co-owned a restaurant/bakery business here in TC & Leelanau County for four years. I have experience as a private chef and caterer, so another service I offer is meal prep for busy & exhausted families (know any of those?). I'm excited to meet you!

Alicia is truly fantastic and a sweetheart. She begun nannying our son when he was 7 months old and made the transition for both him and myself as a new mom so seamless and comforting. He always had a blast with her; everything she did with him was so engaging, and it was obvious she put a lot of thought into developmental activities disguised as fun games that kept him bubbly and intrigued. We so appreciate everything she has done to help our family- we absolutely recommend her!
