About Alicen

Babysitting has been a part of my professional life since I finished high school. At 17, I moved to Paris and worked as an au pair, tutor and housekeeper for a family with two young children. Working with their family on and off over several years, I became fluent in French, which I eventually pursued as a major in university. When I returned to New York, I continued nannying while finishing my BA and Masters degree, often for French families or for families who wanted their children to speak French. Most of my experience is with younger kids, but I have also nannied and tutored children up to age 14. Most recently, I have been babysitting a 6-year-old who is learning French with me. I am currently finishing a graduate degree in French literature and teach French part-time as an adjunct. Ideally, I am looking for part-time caregiving work that can include babysitting, homework help, tutoring, or housekeeping. Looking forward to meeting you!
