I started working in childcare 6 years ago. The chance to be a part of a child's world as a caregiver is a joy and so rewarding. I believe in building relationships where children feel supported and heard. I've been described as exceptionally patient and I'm good at gentle guidance toward good choices. Consistent structure and expectations are important, I can be firm and redirect when needed. Following a child's unique imagination and play style can make healthy activities fun. Getting to know them individually helps guide games to get us outdoors or find educational opportunities. I love to learn and engage their interests, and to offer new activities. I have CPR, safe sleep, and first-aid training. I've babysat and worked in daycares with ages 6 months - 12 years, including toddler and preschool. I have experience with high support needs autistic children, epilepsy, and severe allergies. I'm committed to learning the individual needs of families and all the children under my care.
