Hi! My name is Aliah and I would love to nanny for you! I'm 22 and have lived in Utah my whole life. I love anything outdoors and active! Hiking, swimming, sunny days, you name it! I nannied two awesome kids (1 and 3) for almost two years until they no longer needed care, as well as a 3-year-old boy. And also two 9-year-old boys/ a house maid position! I've also taught swim lessons to kids as young as 3 months old! I'm CPR and First Aid certified, and I'm totally comfortable helping with housekeeping, meal prep, errands, overnights, and more. I know what to expect when it comes to nannying and childcare, and I truly love being a nanny. I can't wait to connect with a new family!

Aliah canceled on us three hours before the start of her scheduled shift. We had hired her to provide childcare for our son for one day from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at $30/hour because our regular caregiver was unavailable, and both my husband and I needed to work. Leading up to the job, Aliah was responsive, communicated well, and seemed genuinely motivated during several text exchanges. However, at 8:12 a.m. on the morning of the shift, she texted that her car had been hit and that she didn't think she would be able to drive that day. I asked whether there was any other way she could get to our house by 11:30 a.m., but she said there wasn't. I could speculate about whether she was telling the truth. I also find it hard to believe she couldn’t find any other way to get to my house (family, friends, Uber, me picking her up??) but ultimately, it doesn't matter. Regardless of the reason, the result was the same: our child was without a caregiver, forcing us to scramble to adjust our work schedules. When someone accepts a childcare commitment, reliability is essential. On the day we needed Aliah, she was not reliable at all.
