I see myself as easygoing, responsible, and caring, but assertive when I need to be. I love having great communication. I started working with kids when I was 15 or 16, maybe younger. Since then, I have volunteered at my church nursery and babysat for my mom's friends' kids occasionally. I have a serious nut allergy. This allergy can cause me to have anaphylactic shock, which makes my throat close up and makes it hard for me to breathe. Even though I have this allergy, it has never affected my ability to care for kids because I am very careful in certain situations. I like to explain my allergy to the kids so they can understand it better. Because of my experience, I am very comfortable with allergies and medical issues. I believe my skills in child care include quick reflexes, attention to detail, patience, slow to anger, and a calm demeanor.
