About Alex

I'd describe my personality as creative, soft, inquisitive. I like working with kids because I enjoy the excitement that comes with learning about the world, kids usually aren't afraid to share that with you. I'm looking for a job that feels safe and inviting and allows me flexibility. I started working with kids when I was fairly young. I baby sat for family as a young teenager and then became a nanny to a growing family at 16. I was with them consistently for 3 years and then for a few years after that as needed. In my spare time, I like to play and create music. I often sing for hire and play live shows (when it is safe to). One thing you should know about me is I am non binary & trans (he/they) and would really love to work for a family that is part of the LGBTQIA community. My skills include intentional listening and communication, problem solving, and patience.
