About Alex

Hi! My name is Alex and I'm from a small town in Sonoma County where I grew up regularly caring for kids of all ages. While in college in Boston I babysat for parent's groups weekly and gained experience working with kids ages 3-10 in group settings. I also have experience with newborns, toddlers, and teens. I'm fluent in Spanish (I grew up speaking it) and enjoy incorporating language into play for families who want Spanish exposure. I've built professional experience in legal services, clinical psychology research, and architecture, and now work part-time as a florist and event planner with flexible availability. For the past eight months I've volunteered at a bilingual school in Berkeley, assisting with art, math, and reading, which has inspired me to seek more work in childcare. I also have a background as a professional prep cook, have a safe and reliable car, and I bring a mature and joyful presence along with lots of passion for supporting children's growth.
