About Alexis

Hi! My name is Alexis and I'm a new grad nurse. I'm 31 and this is my second career. I work per diem as a patient care technician in the hospital, but I'm looking for additional work until I take my licensing exam in early February. Over the past two years, I have worked as a patient care technician in the hospital and cared for my grandfather while he was on hospice and bedbound. I was also a nanny for the first half of this year for a sweet 14-month-old. Prior to pivoting to a nursing career, I gained experience working in case management with foster youth, in a group home as a caregiver, in adolescent and adult behavioral health treatment. I have a kind and warm demeanor. When caring for children, I love being active, tapping into playfulness, spending time outdoors, going on outings, reading, and arts & crafts! I live near Downtown Fort Lauderdale and have reliable transportation. I'm comfortable with animal care as well.
