About Alexis

Hi there! I'm Alexis, a Chicago local with over 10 years of experience babysitting, both in homes and daycares. As a lifelong artist and cook, I've spent countless hours decorating 'funny face pizzas,' and reading books ("The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a personal favorite"), with kids of all ages. My focus is on creating a safe, structured, and nurturing space where your child can learn, grow, and explore their creativity. I believe in a patient, yet firm approach and I'm dedicated to working closely with you to support your child through any challenges they may encounter. My years of volunteering with special needs children through Easter Seals Crossroads and planning youth events for the Indianapolis 500 helped shape my care style. Just as scholarly as I am creative, I'm happy to help with homework, too. I currently work at Stanford University as a communications strategist, and worked as an English tutor at Indiana University.
