I started caring for seniors when I received my CNA license at 16. I took classes through my local community college at 15 but waited until 16 to take my state boards. I worked as a CNA in a variety of settings - skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, rehab, hospice, group homes, travel work - while I went to school. One thing you should know about me is I am currently in limbo between finishing my masters of physician assistant studies and being licensed by the state of Minnesota (takes about 3-4 months!). I am looking for work in the meantime before I begin my career as a health care provider.
