About Alexis

Hello, my name is Lexi, I am a 27-year-old mother of a 2-year-old. I am from Louisiana moving to Denver in October 2026. My husband and I previously lived there two years ago. I have a bachelors degree in family and consumer sciences with a focus in nutrition. My coursework was mostly child development and nutrition. Becoming a mother has only deepened that interest. I regularly read books on child development. I am currently listening to Positive Discipline by Jane Nelsen. I don't have early childhood education experience, my goal is to work towards getting that education and becoming a Montessori teacher. I began babysitting in high school and did it throughout college. I also worked in a childcare setting in college. I have a 2-year-old and would preferably babysit in my home. I think it would be beneficial for my son and another only-child (or younger sibling) to learn from each other. I love working with children just as much as I like learning from them.
