About Alexis

I'm Alexis and I'm an occupational therapist with 7 years of geriatric care. Prior to becoming an OT, I was a private duty caregiver for a woman with dementia, as well as cared for my grandmother who had dementia. I'm looking for something different than the OT world at this time. I can also utilize my skills from my OT background to better assist our loved one. I'd describe my personality as easy going, caring, compassionate. I like caring for seniors because I saw what my grandmother had gone through. I then became an OT because of her and carried on with caregiving, having a deep passion for geriatrics and dementia care. I started caring for seniors when I was 18. I worked in skilled nursing facilities, private homes, assisted living facilities, and memory care units. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors, try new things, and spend time with my two babies. One thing you should know about me is I will care for your loved one the way I would care for my own family member.
