I am 20 years old and have been "employed" as a housekeeper once a month for a family friend. Working for her- a single, working, mother of 3 who houses homeless cats until they are adopted- included: top-to-bottom cleaning (dusting, vacuuming carpets, sweeping/washing floors, emptying trash, turning in cans, cleaning cat boxes, cleaning/sorting refrigerator and cupboards, washing/organizing dishes, sorting mail, tidying individual rooms, cleaning bathrooms (tubs/showers, floors, windows, toilets, sinks), sweeping garage, watering indoor plants, tending to outdoors gardens, trimming shrubbery/trees, mowing lawn. Other than this experience, I often am asked to watch/keep neighbors'/friends' houses while they attend vacations; and, to add, I genuinely ENJOY this type of work.
