About Alexis

Hi! I'm Alexis, I've been working with children since 2016 when I was a camp counselor at Tom Sawyer camps working in their horse program. Working with children and horses launched my experience with child care. Through Tom Sawyer camps I received incredible training teaching me about how to create fun, safe, and loving environments for children of varying ages. As I went on in a career in childcare I came to care for children as young as 6 months old and as old as 6 years old. I've been able to learn and understand the developmental needs and limitations of each age and how to best care for children based on where they are developmentally as well as their individual needs and preferences. I've worked with families of different backgrounds as well as RIE parenting coaches to help foster independence, curiosity, and creativity in children of different ages.
