About Alexis

I am currently a wine industry professional looking to change careers to one that involves children. I am an art school graduate and studied elementary school art education for a year. During that year I spent significant time in various elementary schools assisting the art teacher in lessons of color, space, and texture with an emphasis on creativity. In addition to teaching elementary aged children art, before college I was a Tae Kwon Do instructor for 2 years. The emphasis of my teaching was with 4 and 5-year-olds that we called "Little Kickers," but I also taught school aged children as well as adults. The classes ranged from 5-20 people. Currently I am a part-time/ on call nanny for an 18-month-old. We enjoy going to the park, playing with instruments, and dancing to Bob Dylan.
