Hello, my name is Lexi Joy! I am an open minded person with a positive outlook and lots of energy! I will be 25 years old this June, and have been working in the caregiving field since I was 13. I started out baby sitting and later got into more advanced care, working with disabled adults. I began to work as a direct support staff in a group home when I was 19, taking care of 4 adult males with autism/ developmental & intellectual disabilities. I helped with activities of daily living; such as getting dressed, bathing, feeding, administering medication, getting out into the community, etc. Within one year, I became the manager of the group home- taking on even more responsibility. I left in 2020 and began working for a family with 3 amazing kids, two of which presented with disabilities(one with high functioning autism & one with kabuki syndrome).
