About Alexis

I'd describe my personality as caring, silly and intuitive. I like working with kids because you have to be present with them. You get to meet them where they're at and it helps promote self regulation, gentleness and a sense of play that adults tend to lose. I'm looking for a job with a family where we can build a trusting relationship. I've found that communication, mutual comfort and respect has been a great foundation for success. I started working with kids when I was a kid. I was always babysitting & working as a mother's helper. I became a nanny for an incredible family in 2021 for two years. In my spare time I like to play with my new dog, be in community and be creative. I'm an artist and I love to let kids tap into their creativity if they're interested in that. My skills include -Listening and pausing. - Being silly. I don't mind messes, encourage dance parties and running around outside. - I'm very organized!
