About Alexis

Alexis began watching our son full time when he was only six weeks old (in Jan 2022) and, as new parents, we only hoped to find someone who would value the choices we set out for our son while also guiding us through our blind spots as we matured as parents. We were discerning in our quest to find someone who would be equally invested in our son’s development (both personally and educationally) and, at the same time, provide him with a sense of comfort and safety. We found all of that in Alexis and SO much more. Since her very first day with our family, Alexis demonstrated a professional, thoughtful and caring spirit. Under her care, we have watched as our son has met, and in many cases exceeded, the milestones established by the AAP, and we know that this is largely in part due to Alexis’ efforts. It has been amazing to watch how close they’ve become, how happy he is in her presence and just how much he’s learned during his time with her. Alexis has an amazing gift in understanding and cultivating the abilities and strengths of children and has been incredibly nurturing to our son. She excels at flipping the conventional approach on its head in order to figure out how best to relate to our son and is always teaching us something new in the process. Alexis also consistently pitched in to help us in ways that we never expected - this includes meal prepping for our son when he began solids, occasionally picking up groceries, cleaning the nursery and even helping to keep common areas clean for our son to roam around safely. She was always flexible and even offered to step in during off-days if she knew we truly needed it. We feel so incredibly lucky to have had her support in raising our son and helping us grow as parents. We have seen a level of integrity, warmth and kindness in Alexis that we hope others get to witness first-hand. Now that our little one is going off to daycare, we would love to see her find a position that truly allows her greatest qualities to shine through. Alexis means a lot to our entire family and we hope that her future endeavors will hold her in the same regard.
