About Alexis

Hello, my name is Alexis! I have three years of paid experience as a caregiver for my great-grandmother in her 90's who suffers from dementia and has mobility issues. My duties have included physically assisting her, helping with basic hygiene, transporting her to appointments and managing her medication, assisting with errands and finance management, and thoughtfully engaging with her to understand her needs. My most recent role was as a nanny. I cared for a toddler and helped transition her through various stages, including moving from strictly milk to solids, and learning to walk and speak. I also collaborated with the parents to create engaging and educational activities. I previously worked at a domestic violence shelter as a case manager. I provided resources and support. I created treatment plans, completed intakes and answered the emergency hotline. I have dealt with a series of situations. I plan to change careers and pursue studies in the medical field.
