Hi! My name is Alexis! I am continuing my journey caring for children of all ages. My focus is on educational interactions, routine, outdoor, indoor fun, and or just blending in with your family! Keeping children happy, focused, interactive, and well entertained. I have years of experience with babies-children ages 8 months to 12 years old. I have worked with many families through babysitting and nannying. I have assisted my mother in her daycare business over the years before continuing my own journey. I have six years of experience nannying and babysitting. I can handle daily and night time routines easily. I am open to occasional bookings and a long term position. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and connect.

Alexis has cared for my 11 month old son and did an amazing job. She has a really calm and kind demeanor that made my baby instantly comfortable with her. She brought books and activities for him and was so caring.

Alexis is a young, sweet caregiver. The day before our scheduled babysitting, we confirmed a time for her to care for my 8 month old daughter. Around 7am, the morning of, I needed us to move the time up by 45 minutes. She got back to me about 2 hours after I sent my message and informed me she couldn’t do the earlier time so I booked another caretaker instead - which was a little stressful but ended up being just fine. Alexis seemed to have felt bad and followed up appropriately. I let her know perhaps we could hire her later in the evening that same night which we did. She was great about confirming and coming a little early for the evening babysitting session. I got an update with a photo when my baby fell asleep. She confirmed how I wanted certain things done to set my daughter up for success and I was pleased with that. I would hire Alexis again and I’m glad everything worked out! 

Amazing babysitter. My place was clean when I got home. She brought activities to spend time with the kids  so there was very little screen time. She helped the kids clean up agree themselves.  She took them swimming and generally kept them active throughout the day. What really impressed me was that she gave all 3 of them breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Great all around experience. I would hire again in a heartbeat. 

Alexis cared for our son for several months and still does off and on now that he is in a different daycare. He is well cared for with her and happy to have her in our life!

Alexis is such a safe and nurturing caregiver for our 18 month old. She is very calm and grounded, and is also curious and flexible. She did such an awesome job playing with our son and providing learning opportunities for him. We are so grateful that she is a part of our family's life. 

Cancel less than 15 minutes before she supposed to show up.

Alexis did a great job keeping the appointments we made and was flexible to our family's needs. She had planed for activities for the children which were age appropriate and fun for them. We would definitely hire her again.

I specifically told Alexis that we have a government interview and we would need her for sure and to let me know if there would be any issues. On the day (June 29, 2022) that I needed her, I message her at 7.30 am when she is supposed to reach my house at 8.30 am and she lets me know she cannot make it. When I ask her, why she did not inform me the day before, she gave unbelievable reasons. I had to scramble to get my 2 daughters to a friend who was luckily available and took care of my kids. I am so disappointed that she did not even find it important to let me know about her being unavailable until I asked her one hour before she was supposed to show up at my home.

No show, without communication.

Alexis didn't show up, despite having confirmed by text the day prior. I messaged her 3 times, and called her twice (it rang, but she didn't answer). She texted 4 hours after she was supposed to arrive apologizing for an emergency and hoping that "arrangements were able to be made." This was impossible because we didn't know she wasn't coming.

As she said in a response to a similar review on this site "emergencies do happen." Which I understand. However, I expected that she would communicate with us if she is unable to honor her commitment. The nature of the emergency she described would have made it possible for her to contact us either through Care.com or by text.

Alexis was wonderful! She was beyond what we were expecting. She did light chores like dishes and toy clean up which she didn't have to, and even brought her own activities for my boys! Absolutely incredible.

Alexis was wonderful! She showed up in time, my boys told me they had so much fun with her and she helped clean up at the end of the night. Would definitely hire her again!

Alexis was fully prepared with an entire day worth of activities that are both fun and educational. She even took my son for a walk to a nearby park! She was on time, communicative through the process and fully prepared for the task. I would absolutely hire her again. Highly recommend.

I hired Alexis to watch my two kids for 6h.  She was punctual and brought a range of activities to keep the kids engaged.  It's clear she has a strong background in care-giving for children.  (and she did the dishes in the sink!)

I loved the energy that Alexis brought! She's great with kids.

She was very professional, punctual, nurturing, and engaging with our family. She was very attentive to the needs of our daughter. We would definitely love to have her sit again.

Alexis was AMAZING!  She was very engaging with the kids, even came prepared with games and activities which they loved. Followed instructions well and left the house spotless. We will definitely hire her again!

Alexis was great with my son! They played a lot of different activities and she kept him engaged the entire time. When I returned home my son wouldn't stop talking about her! I would definitely recommend Alexis and we hope to have her come babysit again!
