I am going to school to become a special education teacher. I fell in love with this field when I was a teacher's assistant in a special education classroom. I was also involved in a club called Best Buddies which encourages inclusion and friendships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I have volunteered in a few special education classrooms, working with students of varying needs. I was a science camp counselor and worked with many different kinds of students. I also volunteered at Via West Services in Santa Cruz, which is a camp for individuals with disabilities.
