Lexi surprised me by becoming our "runner-up" choice for home care assistant for my elderly parents (both 86) despite her relative youth. The deciding factor was actually that she is an upcoming senior in high school, and the hours we originally planned were after school, but after being with my parents for a couple weeks (I live out of state) I realized my mother was close to needing assistance showering & dressing in the mornings, so the hours we wanted someone to come in changed. Lexi already had earned her CNA a year earlier, had already commuted to provide home care after school during her junior year. She is extremely bright, has a wonderful personality, and is delightful to know. All of her references verified what we could see for ourselves about her maturity, responsibility and compassion.
