About Alexia

Hello! I would say my experience started in high school during my first internship at a private elementary school. I worked in a second grade class as a student teacher, doing reading groups/bulletin boards/ arts&crafts/ and classwork help. This later inspired me to completely pursue early childhood education. Currently, that is what I am studying. For the past year I have worked at a private preschool, working in classrooms that range from 2-6 years old, as a part time student teacher/ floater position. I oversee lunchtime/ nap time/ recess. I also do activities such as arts&crafts, yoga, music and movement, and class activities. I have been fortunate enough to work with amazing early childhood educators that have taught me a great deal about this field. I have also learned so much from the children around me. It really is amazing to have such tiny people look up to you.
