About Alex

I'd describe my personality as fun, energetic, and compassionate. As I've gotten older, I've developed a greater sense of child-like play and child-like joy, while also growing as a leader. This allows me to connect with kids and provide guidance to them. I like working with kids because they are curious, funny, and pure in heart! Also, the formative years are key. I want to help kids feel safe, joyful, and that their voice is heard. I've worked as a camp counselor, tutor, and building substitute teacher. I've also been an assistant director of a middle school musical! I want to maintain a standard of excellence, integrity, and care. I've also learned to be easy on myself and give myself grace. So I have that same attitude towards others. If a child makes a mistake, of course I want them to learn their lesson, but I don't want them to feel bad. I want them to learn their lesson in a way that is encouraging and uplifting.
