Hi! My name is Alex and I am in my mid-twenties living in River North (recently moved from Boston!). I have been volunteering and working with kids for many years. In high school I volunteered weekly at a Children's Interactive Museum, as well as in a third grade classroom. In college, I participated in a mentorship program where I would create programmings for my mentees every Saturday. Through these programs, I have experience watching and taking care of kids aged 3-15. For the past 4 years, I have been occasionally babysitting for three separate families, with kids aged between 1 and 6. I also have experience with morning and bedtime routines, drop offs, and pickups! The reason I joined Care. com is because I am passionate about working with kids, want to be a positive role model, and enjoy laughing, being silly, and imaginative with kids. Alex is so sweet, I cannot say enough good things about our experience with her. We've only had one session with her so far of watching our daughter, but Alex was so communicative, prompt, and attentive in all of our interactions. She provided references, and I can say that I am now one who will also happily sing her praises. We have hired her as a regular sitter for our date nights, and I feel so lucky that she responded to our listing—when we got home our little one was happy, safe, and having a great time, and I am so excited that we have found such a great person to care for our girl when we're out.
