About Alexa

Hi, my name is Alexa, and I am a recent graduate from UNCW (University of North Carolina Wilmington), where I studied and majored in Social Work. I am from Lake Placid, New York where I spent most of my working days nannying for families in the area. I am a positive, energetic, and very compassionate person who loves working with children. I have a large family and have four nieces, which I have spent a lot of time with. I love doing arts and crafts, reading, outdoor activities, and helping with homework. I have four pets, so I am a huge animal lover as well! Throughout my time at UNCW I interned at two nonprofit organizations which focused in teaching decision making, interpersonal communication and leadership abilities. My love for children and helping others started when I joined Americorps in 2014. I love helping others and look forward to hearing from you.
