About Alexa

I recently completed my Masters in Counseling Psychology and am looking for childcare work to supplement my income. I have experience nannying ages 6mo-12years of age, as well as working with kids co-facilitating nature-based pediatric occupational therapy groups. I adore kids and my clinical training along with childcare experience has taught me a great deal about child development and skills in building a connected, safe and trusting relationship with kids and families. I also enjoy cooking, grocery shopping, and running errands. I'd describe my personality as flexible, conscientious and compassionate I like working with kids because I find them so smart, insightful and funny. I also find it meaningful to be a supportive, engaged presence in kids' lives and to help make parents busy lives easier. In my spare time, I like to hike and be outdoors, spend time with my loved ones and friends, go to the farmers market, play board/card games, and workout.
