In working at a summer camp not only do I come with craft ideas, but I also have a musical, athletic, and a highly achieving academic background. At around age 8, I helped my mom with daycare and saved a child from drowning. At 14, I was taking care of my newborn nephew who is a fun-loving, daredevil of a 7-year-old today! At 19, I then was commuting from college to help my sister take care of my newborn niece who is now almost 4! Meanwhile, I work most summers at a summer camp where I am a counselor and I have a leadership position of Health Coordinator (camp nurse). I have taken care of over 150 children a week dealing with any medical emergency, medications, and more. Working with and caring for children has been some of the most rewarding moments of my life. I am currently a 22-year-old, 3rd semester nursing student at the University of Iowa with the intention of applying to the DNP program for family practice post graduation!
