About Alexandra

I am currently a Full time Faculty member for the Chemical and Bio-molecular Engineering Department at NYU- Polytechnic School of Engineering. In addition to teaching courses, I am a faculty club adviser, pre-med/health adviser, and a member of the pre-med letter writing committee. I am currently completing my PhD in Neural and Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Computational Neuroscience at SUNY-Downstate Medical Center. I am motivated by a desire to continue to provide well rounded scientific education, while inspiring curiosity and a strong work ethic in students. Experience n Lecturer, Lab Coordinator and Advisor, NYU-Polytechnic School of Engineering: (2012-Present) Teaching: Genetics, Adv. Cell, Biostatistics, and Molecular biology. Pre-med/Health adviser and letter writing committee member. Adjunct Professor, Long Island University- Brooklyn: (2010-2012) Teaching and designing Yoga Therapy and Physiology course for the Health Science Department. Instructor: Ashtanga Yoga New York: (2010-2014) Teach Yoga daily, and as part of the Ashtanga Yoga Outreach Initiative
