About Alexandra

I'd describe my personality as playful, encouraging, and loving. I love helping kids grow to be confident, creative, and kind. I'm looking for a job where the parents and I are on the same team and they consider me part of the family. I started babysitting around the neighborhood from 12 years old, became the assistant swim coach at the neighborhood pool, continued nannying part-time and full-time through high school and college, moved on to give private swim lessons and become an aquatics director, became a licensed elementary school teacher, and have continued to run a variety of summer camps and afterschool programs. One thing you should know about me is I am a vegan. I don't push my beliefs on children (other than teaching them to be compassionate to animals). I am a fantastic chef, but I am not comfortable cooking with animal products. My skills include homework help, infant care, house-keeping, swim lessons and potty-training.
