About Alexandra

My name is Alexandra and I am currently a student at UMass Amherst. Since I was 15 years old, I have been caring for children. My first experience was with my second cousin's daughter. Initially, I helped her take care of her infant (bottle feeding, changing diapers, bathing, putting to sleep). I had the joy to witness her grow older and I was able to help her with her school assignments and extracurricular activities. After this first exposure to babysitting, I have consistently been seeking out jobs that orbit around child care. Overall, I have taken care of 12 children. My involvement in their lives has been constant and seeing them grow older is a reward I cherish deeply. My most recent experience was with a little girl of 3 months. I was with the family for three months over this past summer in Maryland, where I had a research internship as well. During this time, I stayed in house with the family and offered child care assistance as well as light cleaning.
