About Alexandra

For the past 25+ years I have been a certified Foster/Adoptive parent for children with special needs - ranging from mental retardation, cerebral palsy, AIDS, as well as fostering newborn drug addicted, premature, etc. Caring for children is my reason for being. I have adopted the last 7 foster-kids and they are now young adults. I have had as many as 7 at a time in my home when there was a need. I also have had occasion to care for two sets of newborn twins within my time of child-care I have a great deal of experience in milestone accomplishments with youngsters and have experience with medications, stimulation techniques and early intervention. I also have experience with a pet rescue in NY. I am now focusing on the healthy newborn/infant/toddler population and enjoy watching them experience all things new and beautiful. I do, however, have a passion for special needs or fragile children so I am always available for the most vulnerable of children.
