About Alexandra

Hi there! My name is Alex--so glad you're here! I'm a former special educator (2 years) and elementary school teacher (4 years) with a Master's in Special Education, specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Developmental Disabilities. One of my favorite jobs was nannying for two brothers on the spectrum, and I still keep in touch with their family years later! Now pursuing comedy and visual art, I bring creativity, playfulness, and energy into childcare. My goal is to build strong relationships with kids and families, following their lead to create environments where they feel safe, confident, and free to be themselves. I believe in child-led play and learning--being silly, doing projects, exploring outdoors, and creating fun opportunities based on their interests. I'm especially passionate about supporting children with disabilities through neurodiversity-affirming approaches. I'm active, engaged, and always ready to meet each child with patience and enthusiasm!
