I am 27 years old and have 5 years of experience as a middle school/high school center based special education teacher. I work with students with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Cognitive disabilities. I can work with families to plan what supports are needed or would be best for each individual. I am comfortable providing help with all types of personal care tasks. I've also worked in a mentor role with a young man with Autism, focusing primarily on going out in the community for social outings. I am a very big Minnesota sports fan and enjoy being outside when it is nice out! I believe that building positive relationships and having fun is the most important thing when working with young people with disabilities.
