Hello! I'm Alexa! Basically like your at home "Alexa," but in the flesh. Oh! Did you want a song request? Funny you asked because I am actually a music therapist. The last 10+ years I have been practicing music therapy with all different populations, however I specialize mostly in mental health and developmental disabilities specifically with adolescents and adults. This kind of work has given me excellent experience and allowed me to develop and hone my skills. Some of those skills include communication skills, interpersonal skills, behavior management, classroom management, caregiving (bathing, dressing, etc.), patience, and tutoring. When working with clients, I enjoy integrating music and utilizing music therapy skills to elicit growth and development. I am choosing to do this type of work not just because I have a knack for it, but because I genuinely love it. AND I would love to meet your loved one!

I supervised Alexa when she was a music teacher for ECE-5th grade public school students. She used her music therapy background and a person-first approach to serve children of all abilities and needs. She built strong, trusting relationships with the students she served. Alexa is reflective, responsive to feedback, and professional. It was a joy to work with her!
