About Alexa

During my time at San Diego State University, I was an undergraduate Teaching Assistant for pre-calculus and taught two lab sessions of 25 students each week. I have experience using lesson plans that appeal to each kind of learner. Ensuring students interact with real life mathematical situations and understand the meaning behind the math they are learning is important to be ready to jump back into a common core classroom. I also have taken coursework centered around how to teach mathematics and create conversation among students that is helpful in forming meaning. I am strong in middle school math, algebra, geometry, calculus, and precalculus (Math 1, 2, and 3 in common core). I would love the opportunity to speak with you soon!
