About Alexa

Hi I'm Lexie and I'm a Sophomore studying Therapeutic Recreation at the University of Tennessee Knoxville! I have always loved kids and am working to become a pediatric occupational therapist. Through my degree I have taken several courses on child health and development. I have over 5 years experience with kids through volunteering at church, doing lots of babysitting, and working for an after-school care program at an elementary school for the past year. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have experience working with babies as well as older age levels. I started working with kids when I began volunteering with the children's program at my church! This allowed me to get experience helping out with a wide range of age groups leading discussions and crafts. I also helped out in the baby room and was able to learn about caring for infants. In my spare time, I like to bake and sew! I also love going for coffee with my friends and shopping.
