I'm Alexa, an enthusiastic, patient caregiver who greatly values respect, trust, and learning through exploration. I'm currently free on weekends and for date nights! I have been caring for children full-time since October of 2018, have been a nanny since February of 2021, and have maintained a steady babysitting network for over 15 years. I also student-taught a Theater in Diversion course at WKU to help middle schoolers to clear their records of low-level juvenile offenses. I place great emphasis on truly getting to know each child I meet so that they feel safe and ready to learn. My teaching style is rooted in the principles of Conscious Discipline and also follows a Reggio-inspired approach, using nature as a third teacher. I also have a Performing Arts degree and love to teach arts and crafts and fun songs! I am usually most easily found by following the sound of singing. I believe that the inclusion of the arts is essential to a well-rounded education.

Alexa is an awesome nanny. She has taken care of our little girl for the past 2 years and has become a part of the family. Alexa’s many years of experience with young kids is very apparent in how she communicates and interacts with our daughter. She is very respectful of our personal parenting techniques, and, as we are first time parents, she has helped us to develop some successful parenting strategies. Alexa has been very accommodating with our irregular schedule, respectful of our home, and always communicates with us regarding her plans with our daughter for the day and with any changes or concerns. Additionally, she has been very interactive with teaching our daughter about art, vocabulary, sharing, and many other valuable skills. She has been a God send for our family during a very rough time, and we recommend her 100% to anyone looking for a caring nanny.
