Hi! My name is Alexa and I'm an NYC DOE Public School high school Math teacher with Teach for America. I recently graduated from Williams College and am excited to be back in the city. I have always had a passion for teaching and for working with kids. Since age 14, I have babysat and tutored for kids ranging from ages 4-13. In 2021, I came on as a junior counselor then promoted to head counselor at the Day Camp at the Jewish Community Center (JCC), leading a group of 15 4-year-olds. I have led several tutoring programs for middle schoolers about ELA, math, science. I have also tutored for Spanish and for standardized testing. I have some time this summer to help out and babysit before the school year starts. Look forward to meeting you!
