About Alexa

Hello there! I been engaged in childcare since middle school either through babysitting or nannying. I have experience with infants, twins, multiple children, twins and neurodivergent/ID individuals. I have done outings and school/activity pick ups and drop offs. I graduated in 2019 with my Masters in Child and Adolescent Counseling and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of WA (and LPC in PA and NJ) I have a completed FBI background check clearance as well as child abuse clearance. I have ALS training which includes CPR. I enjoy cooking, crafting, exploring, gaming, reading and gardening. I have recently also found the enjoyment in watching Hockey! I moved back to WA (from PA) at the beginning of 2024 and am currently working as a night shift social worker in the emergency department. I am on a rotating schedule so every other Wednesday and Saturday I am unavailable.

Alexa's been one of the primary caregivers for my not quite five year old for the last six months. She is dependable, kind, and excellent at handling the behaviors commonly found in young children. When I hired her, I tasked her with creating an educational preschool-like program for my daughter to help her with kindergarten readiness and she has done an outstanding job. She's always finding creative ways to help my daughter learn and doing fun crafts. We are moving out of the area unexpectedly, which is the only reason that Alexa is not going to continue working with our family.
