About Alexa

Foster Care Parent for almost all of my college experience in my time working with the Humane Society/Waco Pets Alive near Baylor University. I rescued a cat with a broken leg with my family as little as 4 years old and often shadowed my vet growing up through the age of 10. I feel strongly for the way animals provide true unconditional love and they deserve to be protected and promoted at all costs. I care for two of my own cats at home that are both rescues (one former foster cat). My neuroscience degree trained me with learning/behavior classes that ensure that every pet no matter how difficult is humanely trained. I have never met a pet too difficult to curl up next to me and cuddle. I miss hiking/going for walks with my previous foster dogs. Experience with unique pets: mainly cats & dogs (as young as 2w with bottle feeding), hermit crabs, betta/goldfish, guinea pigs/hamsters, rabbits, birds, and a few reptile/snake experiences.
