Hello, I am currently working with a family full-time that I really love. They have a 4-year-old boy and I have a 9-year-old granddaughter. I am committed to only the very best quality care every moment of every day. I am looking for active and fun-loving kids around the same ages to join us to play over the summer. Alethea watched our 3 year old daughter for a little less than a year along with a 2 year old from another family. I can't say enough good things about her or express how grateful we were to have her care for our daughter. She was amazing with the kids and always had them engaged with lots of fun and educational activities.  Alethea is very knowledgeable about child development and my daughter flourished during the time she spent with her. She always has a positive attitude and lots of energy for engaging with the kids. My daughter absolutely adores her.  I was completely at ease when my daughter was in her care. Alethea is just a very caring and wonderful person! Any child would be lucky to have her in their life.

Alethea is currently working with our family taking care of our 2 year old. He loves her, and she loves him-it is so apparent! We are grateful every single day that Alethea has joined our Covid bubble and is such a wonderful caretaker and friend. We're looking for another family excited to join a strong Covid bubble for part time preschool fun and games!

I honestly can't speak highly enough of Alethea. She arrives on time every day with something fun and new to get our son excited (colorful scarves, art supplies, toy cars, a play cave, etc). She has a positive, clever, and very intuitive way with children, finding fun and gentle ways to get our son to eat vegetables, brush his teeth, wash hands, and other things he was very resistant to before. She plays games, is always up for an adventure, gives cuddles freely, sings songs, and is teaching our son so much (ex: how to calm down through breath). She  is also helping my husband and I become better parents, and I'm so thankful.

Alethea is honestly amazing! I have high energy, 3 year old twins. She is so engaging with them and teaches them so much. Everything from waiting turns to the alphabet. She is kind, empathetic but knows how to keep and establish boundaries with my twins. You will not be disappointed and she will find a place in your hearts forever.

Alethea was our family's nanny for almost 2 years. She cared for our 3 young children when I went back to work in 2017. Its hard to find words to describe what she's meant to our family. What I hired her for was trusted, dependable care for my babies. What I got was an amazing friend, a highly skilled educational and emotional teacher for my children, a talented artist for my kids to learn from and trustworthy advocate to walk alongside us in raising 3 active toddlers. She brought so much more to the table then I even thought to ask for. I'm 100% certain my kids are more well rounded individuals having been cared for by Alethea these last 24 months. She has truly become family because I know she loves our kids and us as much as family does and we love her too : )

If you are looking for someone to care for THE MOST important people in your life, you'd be crazy not to chose her. She is the diamond in the rough. I thank God he sent her to us and I'm confident you will feel the same way

I am so grateful that Alethea came into our lives.  I have a spirited seven-year-old who can have big emotions and be hard to handle.  Alethea is able to navigate my child's ups and downs with caring and calm.  She is very positive and nurturing.  I'm always confident that my child is well taken care of when she is with Alethea. She is the kind of person we prayed for when searching for a care giver, but honestly the truth is we were doubtful that we would find someone like her.

Alethea listens to our point of view on parenting and applies those principles. We are included on important decisions throughout the day.

She also adds her own creative personality throughout the week and is an expert at finding fun + educational moments at a library nearby, in the backyard, or just around the corner. Alethea is able to make things fun but have the serious talks children require. It's tough with just one, but she was able to care for all of our children-at times comforting three grumpy children simultaneously with a fun song, a magical game, or a much needed hug.

Alethea is eternally a part of our family and the impact she has made on our children is to be treasured as it was during a time our family needed a "village" for support. We are beyond blessed.

I recommend Alethea wholeheartedly. She is an attuned and thoughtful caregiver and an excellent teacher. She cares for my 14 month old and I am always noticing new positive behaviors that I know she has worked with him on. Something else I appreciate is her knowledge of child development and her belief in lifelong learning. She is always punctual as well as flexible when something comes up, which is fantastic. In Alethea, I have someone I can rely on and best of all my son loves being with her too! 

Alethea is a caring, loving person that is dedicated to the all the people in her life. She values connection and love and this comes across in her daily life and her work. She always brings 100% to everything she does and was a large part is bringing a light and love of learning to my daughter and now my grandchildren.  

Alethea loves teaching and interacting with children. She has lots of energy, ideas and activities so they never get bored, regardless of weather --  parachute outside, art projects inside.  Alethea respects the rules of our home and encourages our kids to clean up after themselves.  She is kind and patient, and seems to enjoy her time with our children. 

I have had the privilege of knowing Alethea for over eleven years and it is my great pleasure to recommend her as a sitter/nanny. She is reliable, always on time, affectionate, loves teaching, and is very devoted to children. She is firm but loving and well-versed in child development. She has been an effective and loving sitter and teacher to my own son with Down syndrome for 10 years. We feel very fortunate to have had Alethea in our lives.
