Hello, I have been working with children in various capacities for many years. Though I often work as an English tutor my passion is working with children with special needs. One of my first jobs was as a tutor and caregiver to a young man with Asperger's. As his tutor I worked with him after school to help him with homework and also work with him to create crafts and art projects. He was an incredibly passionate young man with fierce creativity and imagination. I have also worked as a special aide in a preschool. As a special aide I worked one on one with several very young children with developmental delays. My kids needed assistance adjusting to life in a school setting and I often helped them interact in positive ways with their fellow students, develop motor skills, and work on their educational goals. I have a great deal of love for all children and have been told I have incredible patience and warmth for children with special needs.
